1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
1.2 No national prescriptions will apply.
1.3 This Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions and the Class rules will apply.
1.4 Appendix P, Immediate Penalties for breaking rule 42, will apply.
1.5 On-the-Water-Judging may be undertaken according to RRS Part 2.
1.6 If there is a conflict between languages the English text shall prevail.
1.7 If there is a conflict between this notice of race and the sailing instructions, the sailing instructions shall take precedence. This changes RRS 63.7.

2.1 Advertising will be restricted in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20.
2.2 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3.1 The competitor shall be a member of his/her Member National Authority or one of its affiliated organisations.
3.2 All competitors shall be no more than 19 years old by December 31st, 2010.
3.3 Each team is required to bring to the venue one of their national flag in approximate size 100 x 150 cm.
3.4 Eligible boats may enter using either:
3.4.1 Advanced internet entry: The official entry form must be used and filled in completely. The organizer shall be authorized to collect the entry fee electronically. Click here to fill entry form.
3.4.2 No other form will be accepted.
3.5 Entry closes on June 30th, 2010.
3.6 Late entries will be accepted not later than by July 10th, 2010. An extra fee of 50% will apply.
3.7 The organizer reserves the right to accept entries on the spot in exceptional cases. An extra fee of 100% will apply.
3.8 Confirmed entries will be posted on the event web site.

4.1 The entry fee is 2700 EEK (received before July 1st, 2010).
4.2 The entry fee or late entry fee according to SI 3.6 shall be paid to:

The entry fee is non-refundable.

5.1 The series will be sailed in one class and two separate divisions:
5.1.1 Zoom8 Boys
5.1.2 Zoom8 Girls
5.2 The winner in each division will be titled Zoom8 World Champion.

6.1 The competitors shall pass registration and measurement in Race Office at latest July 27th, 2010 at 15:00.
6.2 Programme:

28-07-2010 1100 First warning signal of day 3 races scheduled

6.3 On 01.08.2010 no warning signal will be made after 1400.
6.4 Prize giving ceremony will start as soon as possible after the end of the protest time for the last race of last day.
6.5 12 races are scheduled for both divisions.

7.1 Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate.
7.2 It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that his/her boat and equipment conforms to the Class Rules.
7.3 Equipment checks may be made throughout the event.

8.1 The Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.

9.1 The Venue is located at the Lohusalu harbour, approximately 35 km west from Tallinn port.
9.2 Attachment 1 shows the location of the regatta harbour.
9.3 Sailing will take place on the Finnish Gulf on Lohusalu Bay.
9.4 Attachment 2 shows the location of the racing areas.

10.1 Trapezoid course will be sailed.

11.1 Decisions of the International Jury will be final as provided in RRS 70.5.

12.1 Four races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
12.2 When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores.
12.3 When from 4 to 8 races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
12.4 When 9 or more races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.

13.1 Support boats must be pre-registered at the event site Click here to fill entry form.
13.2 Support boats shall fly their national flag or a flag with their three national letters clearly, or shall be permanently marked with a sticker of their national flag or of their three national letters on each side of the boat.

14.1 Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in the boat park.

15.1 Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.

16.1 Medals will be awarded to the first three in each division.
16.2 Prizes will be awarded to one fifth of the entered boats in each division but maximum 15 prizes.

17.1 Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

18.1 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1,000,000 Euro per event or the equivalent.

19.2 In participating in the event, a competitor automatically grants the organizing authority and the sponsors of this regatta, the right in perpetuity, to make, use and show, from time to time and at their discretion, any motion pictures, still motion pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition for the said of the event in which the competitor participates and in all material related to the said of the event without compensation.
